Collection: Georgia - Landscapes

Landscapes may be painted at the site or in the studio. Imagery may also include historical references. On this website all Georgia - Landscapes are painted of Western Australian landscapes. nearly all are painted in situ, with rarely one totally painted in her studio. The bush along the scarp in Gooseberry Hill is often the inspiration as is the bush along the Great Eastern Highway to York. Other Western Australian sites are painted when staying for a few days on painting excursions to the South coast or north to Geraldton. The power of old trees and what they speak of historic time and their ancient inhabitants in and around such trees are often the underlying theme. Georgia is a fifth generation Australian, raised in her early years on a sheep farm in the south west, and high school on the south coast in Albany. There is a deep love and appreciation for any landscapes around the world.
