Bush People Gooseberry Hill

A painting which is unusual to describe. Being in the Bush allows connections with earlier generations and observing nature more acutely - the past and the present. Painted with actual materials from this site; charcoal, clay, ash. rock, soil, marri tree gum, with green and blue acrylic. There's a deliberately painted group of women and children, with the large horizontal figue having emerged of its own accord. Other figures are in procession to two regal balga plants. Unframed with the painting extending around the edge.
