Bridge over Avon River at Gwambygine

Oil Painting in situ, 1967, 25 x 40, wooden frame with gold edge. Painted when I was studying for my Art Teacher's Diploma, Department of Art and Design, Perth Technical College. Much water has flown under the bridge since then. I have consistently painted from 1954. The intention is always to be truthful to the exact colours seen by the eye, although they may be heightened. Working to get the colours as desired straight away, not fiddle with them. Very Australian impressionist.
