Siem Reap temple, Cambodia

Acrylic painting in situ, 2014, 25 x 35, on canvas. Roughly painted black edge, (see picture detail). Siem Reap has many temples, all fascinating and in different stages of restoration. One feels the layers arising out of history and still being affected by the tropical climate. Giant stairways speak of ceremony, here with the lions.  Sitting, painting for several hours at the site is a privilege.
